TORONTO, CANADA (June 6, 2013) – Toronto’s own actor turned rapper J. Star (Forever Young Ent.) releases a new banger “APHL” (Ass Phat Hair Long) strictly for the ladies, featuring the talented Lola Monroe, from his upcoming project “Ready,” slated for a Fall release. The rising star will follow up an overwhelming positive response to his recent mixtape titled “The Warm Up,” with hot singles “Champagne Spit” and “Pick Up” remix featuring Ace Hood.
Known vixens Amber Priddy and Bubbles joined the “APHL” cast, behind the scene photos seen below and attached. “Beautiful girls inspired the title of this song. I observed how girls ‘turn up’ to their favorite song in the club and took it from there,” J. Star explains. Joining forces with female lyricist Lola Monroe was the icing on the cake for this banger produced by Burd & Keyz, giving fans a preview of what’s to come on his upcoming project. J. Star plans to release a striking visual component in the next couple weeks featuring everything from beautiful women to exotic animals. “It’s something unexpected that plays on the title of the song. It’s more of a stylistic video,” notes J. Star.
The Toronto native says fans can expect something new from him on his project “Ready:” “This will be the first time I put out more R&B music for the ladies. It will still have some ‘turn up’ songs but there will be deeper content this time about personal relationships and issues. This is what I’m really passionate about,” explains the international star. J. Star plans to release a second official single, and one of his favorites, titled “Missing You” featuring Teairra Mari during the summer, as well as “Home Alone,” featuring Luu Breeze.
